Crazy Hat meeting (March)

This update is extremely late, I apologize to all who read it.

Ms. Diana started with the door prizes. As everyone arrived they made a display on the stage of all the hats. Ms. Kathy read a story about a women's group who wore hats for a lady named Barbara-who was a stick a geranium in your hat lady. After she read the story, we all drew our Gal Pal names and exchanged hats. During our meal time everyone voted on the hats for a prize. Mrs. Jolyn won the prize for funniest hat as she had a daisy sticking out of the top of her hat. Mrs. Marsha was a very close second, she has tissue paper flowers on her hat. After all of the food, talking, and voting we watched a Chonda Pierce video. She is so funny, it's not a good thing to eat while watching her videos. At the end of this one, Chonda shared a story about her daughter. Her daughter was at an awkward age, and had just had braces put on and was feeling like the ugly duckling. The family decided to go to a Medieval dinner theatre. During their meal there was a fight of sorts between two knights. Once the victorious knight had won his battle he searched through the crowd. He was intent on finding someone special, and just as you are wondering if he will find this person. He stops, and starts walking. The knight walked up to Chonda's daughter. He escorted her to the floor and placed her on his stallion. He then preceded to lead the horse around the ring, only to stop near the King. He then helped the young girl off the horse, and presented her to the king, where she was given a glorious robe and crown. She was then placed at the right hand of the King.

Chonda related this to how Jesus does this for us. She then spoke of how fathers use to bless their children when the children would be gone for long periods of time. The father would tenderly hold the child's face in his hands and try to memorize every feature. Mrs. Glenda had all of us to do this with our gal pal, and bless each other. Most gal pals were in tears during this.

It was a wonderful time for all who attended. So, if you haven't been to a meeting...you need to come to the next one.

*More updates coming soon*
