The meeting last night was so much fun. To see some of our ladies dressed in 80's attire was hilarious once mixed with dancing out the song. I was afraid I may bust a stitch-literally. The message was so true. We are sisters, we want to have fun, and we want to dance before our Father. Our Heavenly Father loves for us to dance with Him. That just gave me goose-bumps. After a few door prizes were awarded, we all enjoyed chili, cornbread, and dessert. There were several pots of yummy chili. Enough with that. After we fed our belly's, Mrs. Glenda, Angela Fitch, and Amy Moore fed our souls.
Mrs. Glenda spoke of two girlfriends from her childhood, and how they lost touch with each other. Without her knowledge the girls kept in touch with Mrs. Glenda's Daddy. Since the death of Pastor Strickland, all three women are now corresponding with each other.
Angela spoke about something that had happened in her life that she blocked out. Once she remembered them, God took the memories and healed her. He worked in her heart, soul and mind. He let her know how much he loved her, and how important she is to Him.
Amy spoke of decisions that she made, and the result of them. She spoke about how she "looked like death." While she had that thought, God spoke to her and reminded her how much He loves her, and how beautiful she is. She is happy now, as she should be.
See Satan is so full of lies that he clouds our judgement in everything. God knows this, He always calls to his Beloved. God will not ever stop fighting for us. We are HIS, right from the very start. Listen to His voice, it's not always a booming voice. It may be the butterfly fluttering around, or the sister that is telling you that the decision you made is wrong, or that you are beautiful outside while ugly in your heart. It may be the the hug you get, and do not need to say a word. He will speak to you that way as well.
God loves us all. We are the ones who have a hard time loving ourselves.
